The Biggest Myth In Finance: Money CAN Truly Work for People Like You

You can build your business differently! You don't have to choose between being profitable and being ethical

A Seemingly Impossible Choice

Are you tired of feeling like you have to choose between being profitable and being ethical?

It often seems like the financial world wants us to believe it’s one or the other.

  •  You can make a profit, OR you can be ethical.
  •  You can feel in control of your money, OR you can enjoy your work making a difference.
  • You can stick to traditional methods and succeed, OR you can adopt a more holistic approach and struggle financially.

I’m here to tell you this is all BS. You can build your business differently!

The Biggest Lie from the Education System

Much of what we've been taught about finance and money is designed to keep a small group of people comfortable while the rest of us play small.

It started back in school when you were told you were either one of the boring logical maths people OR a dreamy creative type. You were told one meant a high-flying career path, the other a virtuous labor of love.

If you had a way with words, an eye for drawing, a fascination with history, a natural grasp of languages, could entertain an audience, or had a passion for movement, you were likely led to believe you were therefore inherently not wired for numbers and anything money-related would be a struggle.

A ‘truth’ you carried forward - you were a creative, so that meant you are bad with money.

If you felt things deeply, you were too emotional and sensitive - and would fail at things that needed black and white, logical answers - like money.

But what if this has all been a lie to keep the people with the visionary, brilliant, creative minds small?

The Myth of Being Bad with Money

In the same vein, you are probably tired of being told that you have to stick to strict financial rules that feel constricting and stifling.

The conventional wisdom often suggests that financial success is only achievable through rigid adherence to rules that may not align with your unique personality and approach to life.

MYTH: If you’re messy, chaotic, and a little bit impulsive, you’ll always be bad with money.

For too long, brilliant and creative individuals have been conditioned to believe that ‘being good with money’ is reserved for others who fit a particular mould.

This belief can be incredibly limiting and disheartening, influencing how you feel about and show up for your finances.

For anyone who has ever felt they must hide their financial ‘flaws’ for fear of judgment or criticism, the reality is that financial success is not about conforming to a one-size-fits-all model.

What if you believed you could thrive financially without having to suppress the qualities that make you 'you'.

Reclaiming The Narrative

Let’s reclaim the narrative because  you CAN be both brilliantly 'you' AND confident and successful with finances.👏

By redefining success and staying true to yourself and your values, you can build a business that is both profitable, ethical and fantastically creative.

You don’t have to compromise on your principles to achieve financial success. You don't have to be any less 'you' to reach your goals.

Mantras to Live By

CanI invite you to try these mantras to gently shift your mindset towards aligning your financial journey with your true self:

  • I can be creative AND good with numbers.
  • Money CAN align with my mission.
  • I can be both ethical AND profitable.
  • I can be a little messy and chaotic in my approach AND still be financially successful.
